Sports Calendar (Feb. 11-16)

Winter Sports are coming to a close with the playoffs here for soccer, basketball and wrestling.

Nease boys soccer competes in the Class 4A State Finals this week in Fort Lauderdale, while the girls soccer team claimed their third title in the last four years last weekend.

Local wrestling teams have competed in district and regional tournaments the last two weeks and the top four individuals in each weight class have advanced to state this weekend in Lakeland.

St. Augustine girls basketball team continues its road to Lakeland with a second round playoff games this week and possibly third round game, with the Jackets playing at home Tuesday night against West Port, a win there would put the Lady Jackets in the regional final (Elite 8) Saturday at home against either Bishop Moore or Poinciana.

St. Augustine boys basketball team opens the Class 4A playoffs at home against Inverness Citrus Thursday night at 7 p.m., a win there moves the Jackets into round two of the playoffs next Tuesday.
