Thanks, Kids!

Thanks, kids. Thanks for all the great vandalism you've been doing around the community. The peel-outs on the freshly laid sod that I and your parents are paying for, thanks for kicking down the Bears sign at the soccer field so it looks like crap, thanks for continually kicking in sections of fencing of the dock and bridge at the large pond by the pool. Especially thanks for breaking your beer bottles where I have to walk my dog in the street. They like the extra fun navigating the obstacle course. Thanks for spray painting churches. I guess you guys are big time Neo-Nazi's, eh? Hate crimers. I just cannot wait until your little punk behinds are caught and thrown into juvie, or even better, St Johns Correction Center. Your white bread little butts will be crying for mommy. Ever watch "Oz" on HBO? Trust me, son. It's close to real. What's the matter? Bored with all the toys your parents buy for you? Brand new Beemers or Lexus's just doesn't cut it anymore? The Olympic sized swimming pool your parents built for you so you don't have to mingle with the "other" people just doesn't have the same shine? Do you really want to destroy things and ruin a lot of stuff? Here's what you do. Go to your local recruitment center, and sign up! Trust me on this, if you are 18, they will ship your butt over to Iraq as soon as boot camp is over! Then you can destroy all the stuff you want, and get paid to do it! What? No takers? Then look you little *****, stop wrecking the place where you live! Seriously, if you absolutely have to do it, go somewhere else! Your parents are paying for this. That means there will be less for your selfish little selves. By the way, be warned. I own a "weapon". If I ever catch an uninvited person on my property, I will assume the worst, that I am in mortal danger, and take appropriate action. To all you horrified parents? Oh well. Keep your kids in line, and they will never have any problems. Later.

Just because a few incidents have broken out lately doesn't mean that every kid in St. Johns County is bad.  Is there even any evidence that St. Johns County kids actually did these incidents?  Besides, vandalism occurs everywhere.  St. Johns County is hit by fewer vandals than almost anywhere I've seen.  Sure, the vandalism is bad, and I'm not trying to dismiss it.  But its bad everywhere.  St. Johns County is no exception.  Besides, if you think the Nease vandalism is bad, you might want to go check out Jackson High or Rebault or Raines.  If you want to avoid vandalism altogether, move to a retirement community.

And just so you know, I'm a senior at Bartram and I'm going to West Point so I CAN blow stuff up.  Thanks for the support...

kgriffis 18,
What do you mean "And just so you know, I'm a senior at Bartram and I'm going to West Point so I CAN blow stuff up.  Thanks for the support..." I think you can be arrested just for posting something like that.

And, jjones is not even writing about the vandalism of the high schools.  He is referring to the vandalism of JCP.  Yes his statements are a bit over the top but, that is just jjones.  I still agree with his points.  However, there is no proof that it is the kids that live in JCP causing all of the damage; I do believe it is quite likely that it is.  The adults that own homes in JCP are the ones that pay for the damage caused by the frequent “off-roading”, destruction of signage, and for the clean-up of the broken beer bottles along the streets. The homeowners of JCP all just had these fees raised due to these issues.  We also like to live in a nice looking neighborhood, you know a neighborhood that does not look like @$!% because a group of bored teenagers decided to wreck the place. Besides the fact that the “off-roading” is very dangerous, I behind a car of teenagers that were doing this and witnessed them flip.  Luckily they were all fine, but it could have been a very different situation. In the end, myself and the rest of the residents that pay these fees ended up paying for the sod to be replaced that these kids had just destroyed.

Perhaps, the kids doing all of this just never saw it from this point of view because their parents never bothered to fill them in when they received their letter that the fees were going up because of the damage teenagers were causing to the JCP grounds, maybe you can pass this info around to your friends and we can all be happy.

Good luck at West Point!

Hey, that's awesome heading off to West Point.  Proud to learn, proud to serve.  That's great some people understand the concept.  I don't know about the JCP issues.  But, thanks for investing your time and serving our country.  BZ.

I'm not saying YOU are bad, I'm commenting on the asses doing the stuff!  At 18, you are now an adult, not a kid.  I assume you act like an adult. Anyway, Let me tell you, it's NOT bad everywhere!  Where I came from, kids didn't wreck stuff just because they were bored!  Kids around here don't work for anything, so they have no sense of worth or value.  Go into any resturaunt in the JCP area that has kids as wait staff, they act like they are doing you a favor, and get pissed if you have issues with the service or food.  Aside from that, you bring up Jackson High or Rebault or Raines.  Well, let's see...  Why do you and your parents live here and NOT there?  Because this area is SUPPOSED to be nicer and more affluent than those areas.  I won't get into the other issues and reasons, o.k.?  Point is, you and I live here because we want nice things, and well-kept public areas.  To draw distinctions between the two is like comparing night to day.  Different demographic and income level.  I'm not a sociologist, so I won't comment any further on that.  StJohnsGirl knows what I'm talking about.  I'm quite sure she and I are not the only ones.  Parents out there need to stop taking the stance that We/I am singling them out and picking on THEIR kids, I'm not.  I'm talking about the ones doing the damage.  Seriously, if your kid(s) come home with dirt and crap all over their car or truck, you're not curious why?  Hate to break the news to you, there ain't no more places to off-road LEGALLY around here anymore!  Ask them.  No need to make it public.  Tell them you'll whoop their asses if they do it again, and MEAN IT!  My belief is the reason America is going down the path it is, is because we are becoming a nation of pacifists.  Can't smack your kids if the smart mouth you, can't defend your or your wife's honor if some jerk starts shit with you, you'll get sued or arrested (I don't pay any attention to that, you start with me, you are in for a rough time.)  What happened to settling things with a fistfight?  When it's over, you shake hands out of respect, and walk away satisfied, if not friends.  Now there's all these grudges, etc... because no one can get the lead out!  C'mon, people!  Smack your kids a little!  It'll do 'em good!  Let them learn how to fight, give 'em chores!  What the hell is happening to this country!?!?!?  By the way, "kgriffs8", if I were you, I'd go back to your post and delete it with the edit button.  That "blow stuff up" remark is a quick route to F.B.I. scrutiny, unfortunately.

'The peel-outs on the freshly laid sod that I and your parents are paying for...'

With summer in the air and high school graduation just days away - vandalism escalates.

A lot of time, money and devotion goes into landscaping here at JCP.   I wonder why they don't plant trees or install boulders and berms in areas that are routinely turfed.

I thought they were going to install hidden cameras to protect this Garden of Eden.   Where's the great hyphenated Mr. R. C-K?   Who is protecting us from these ugly tire tracks in the grass?   Must we all live like livestock?
