As I read through the pages of the blog as I usually do, I couldn't help but notice the bad language, bad taste, and negativity some members are using. I hope "my St. John's Sun" doesn't turn into one of the many sites people seek to vent their frustrations as I am doing right now. For years I have read the Sun to get the local information no one else provides. You guys are doing a great job in that area, and I believe that anyone of your readers could tell you that. I understand negative postings as the ones I have read lately will continue to show up, and can't be monitored for language editing as often as we wish you would. But let me go further, I wish you wouldn't have to waste your time editing postings that use vulgar language. Freedom of speech comes with responsibility, the responsibility to respect others. I believe we are all mature enough in this site to be able to vent our frustrations in a more civilized manner, as most people do, and if you can't, try eating more veggies, laugh more often, and do some yoga.
