Thank God! This election is finally OVER!
Perhaps now we can settle down and focus on living our lives and trying to get the economy going again. (Or at least a push anyway!) Obama won, now we must all HOPE that he is a "positive" change and not what he was accused of being during the campaign. He WILL be the President after Janruary, and as such I have minimal hopes for him:
Provide for our common defense, from a position of STRENGTH. No nation has EVER negoiated from a position of "weakness", but rather from STRENGTH. I will watch to see that Obama supports and defends our Constitution, as his OATH will affirm. He WILL be President, and as such I shall support him and defend our Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic, as I expect him to do likewise. I took my oath in 1969 and an oath doesn't "expire" with a career in the military. An oath is for life and I took mine, and still do, very seriously! Time will tell if Obama is a good thing or not. I'm a wait and see kind of person.
The charter was once again soundly rejected! Let us hope that it is GONE until the next election cycle and THEN let us HOPE that it has been re-written to address all the concerns that doomed it the last TWO times!
And LASTLY: PLEASE, LET THE POLITICAL SIGNS GO AWAY IN A TIMELY MANNER!
