Today , 11 a.m. live estuary animal interaction sessions at the Research Reserve’s Environmental Education Center. Learn about animal habits, food chains, and behavior. free dinner on military appreciation monday

non-resident library cards
The St. Johns County Public Library System will no longer offer free library cards to all Florida residents. As of Oct. 1, St. Johns County residents and those residing in a reciprocal borrowing County will receive free library cards. All others will be charged the non-resident fee of $10 for a three-month library card (or $40 per year).

sierra club program

celebrity cabaret
Nov. 19 through 22, the Limelight Theatre’s Board of Directors present the seventh annual Celebrity Cabaret fund raiser. The show features many of St. Augustine’s prominent residents performing a variety of musical numbers, lip-syncing the lyrics in full costume and creatively choreographed. Tickets are $75.00 per person and include a pre-show cocktail party beginning at 7 p.m. with open bar throughout the evening and hors d’oeuvres by Carrabba’s Italian Grill. Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m. Flagler’s College’s Writers-in-Residence program features a free public reading by Jim Daniels author of Places/Everyone and Punching Out. He also wrote and coproduced Dumpster, a movie about a janitor on the campus of an elite university and his encounters with a wealthy frat boy. helping hands
Nov. 21, 11 a.m. at the Peoples First Bank on County Road 210, The Helping Hands of St. Johns County, a volunteer organization, dedicated to helping others in the community through small projects monthly will hold the next meeting. The November project is Thanksgiving dinners that will be given through Christ’s Cupboard at the Celebration Lutheran Church on Roberts Road. Nov. 18 -23, The St. Johns Agricultural Fair will be at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds, State Road 207 in Elkton, just seven miles west of Interstate 95’s exit 311. Dec. 7, noon to 5 p.m. The Garden Club of St. Augustine invites you to the 40th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes, Grand Illumination, Christmas Parade and British Night Watch during this weekend. This year’s tour will showcase private homes around Maria Sanchez Lake and the bay in the historic area. These beautiful homes were built in 1873, 1886, 1905, the 1920s and more recent years. Your ticket will include a delightful tea and Boutique at the coastal Community Center. Dec. 10, 4 to 8 p.m. the jolly elves of the Sandbar Pub, 7025 A1A South, Crescent Beach will be donating their time and bartending talent to serve your favorite cup of holiday cheer.
