I came across the site www.BiggestDrawingInTheWorld.com and was immediately interested. The basic idea is that an artist sent a gps tracking unit around the world in a pre-thought-out-route, tracking the 55 day trip in order to create a massive "drawing" on the face of the planet.

The site will explain it a little better than I have. But here is the video of the whole thing.

Jason Polan says he is attempting to draw everyone in New York. He draws people quickly, as he sees them in a park, on a subway or walking across the street. He then posts the drawings on his blog, Every Person In New York.

The best part is that Polan says, "When the project is completed we will all have a get together."

Julian Beever is an artist that works in an area of fine art that few other professionals do. He creates sidewalk chalk art. And he does it extremely well, creating images that when viewed from a specific point, appear to be three dimensional. Here’s one of my favorites titled Superheroes II:

Beever produces some really creative work, and his web gallery is worth browsing. Click on 'read more', below, to see an example of what one of the drawings looks like from the wrong viewpoint.
